Cherry blossoms

Ethan has been sick for the tail end of this week so we have been couped up in the apartment. We finally decided yesterday afternoon to see the famous cherry blossoms surrounding the tidal basin.

I have funny memories of doing the same thing last year, only Ethan was barely a month old then. It was the first time we had ventured out into a public place (other than church and the store) with him and I just remember being so stressed out about trying to get that child to stop screaming (he was quite colicky) and how to nurse him in public.

Yesterday was a much more relaxing stroll despite the ravenous ;) crowds. It's amazing how things have changed in just a year.

We're jealous of your weather even if it's a bit chilly. Garrett, especially, since he's from the area. It looks really pretty.

Beautiful photos! It is amazing how quickly time goes by...and don't the little ones just get easier and easier??? I remember being so happy just to not have to carry a diaper bag anymore!

That place is gorgeous! I love cherry blossoms. Are you really wearing short sleeves and no jacket?! I'm so jealous. I guess you've heard it snowed here. Yeah, what the snow in March?!

Aren't you so glad you're not at that 'newborn' stage again? Although with a non-colicky baby, I've heard it's pretty fun. Neither of us would know by experience :) but I'm hoping that baby (who comes in 5 weeks!) is alot easier and mild tempered than Jack was. How would it be to sleep at night or just sit still and snuggle a baby????

I remember when you posted about this last year. I can't believe a whole year has gone by all ready! That's cool that rob went with you. such neat looking trees, their beautiful! That is too bad that judi and ken missed that. I know Judi especially loved those trees.

That's great you got to see those blossoms. I was actually just reading about all those cherry trees the other day. We were debating a trip out east and when we were looking up events to attend we were sad to see this one would be over by the time we got there. It seems so amazing to see all those beatiful trees! That is so cool you got to go to the White House to. Way to persevere!

Just wanted to say that you and yours are lovelier in real life than in the pictures, which are hard to beat. THANK YOU for being such a wonderful person. I'm so glad I got you as a friend just by living with Kenz!

I love cherry-blossoms! So pretty. I love that you have a picture of the three of you exactly one year later. That's fun!
