On the other end of the news

The newspaper I used to work for, The Herald Journal, ran a story about mommy bloggers today. I helped the reporter, Laura Mecham, find some contacts for the story (my sister, Kenz and good friend, Katy) and I ended up being in the article as well. It felt a little weird to be in a story instead of writing it. It was a good read though, Laura.

Wow Meg, you made us all famous for blogging...not really...but it was fun to read about in the paper, because then I'm like, "hey I know those people!" Okay it's official, I'm a dork! But I do love your blog!

That's funny! I've been on that end of things too. The strangest part for me is that with each question I am asked, I'm always thinking about what angle they're going to take on the story given what they're asking and then I start thinking about which quotes they'll probably use from what I'm saying. It's weird being on the other end of things! A few times I've thrown in some real juicy quotes that I knew I would love to write/include in a story if I were writing it!

Way to go Megan. I spent many years in cache valley and only made the paper once. It had something to do with me getting my tonsils out. Big old pict though.

Oh yea, I wanted to ask you about Andrew and Vanessa. So their in your ward?! What a small world this is. Do you get to talk to her much?
They are a great couple. We've never met any of their children before. We knew them back in the day when none of us had kids. Our younger years!!!
