My hair is growing back!

This might remind some of you of a very ill-fated run-in I had with a blow-dryer several years ago, but this time, Ethan may be the culprit.

After I had him in February, my hair starting falling out in chunks. There were more of my hairs on the pillows than Ryan's (that was a definite first) and I would always wipe a handful of hair off the drain after I showered. At that rate, I knew I would be bald by the time Ethan turned one.

But a few months ago, I stopped having to pick a nest of hair out of my brush each time I used it and I noticed a difference in the way I felt. I can't really pinpoint why my hair started falling out and I felt exhausted all the time in the first place, but I'm guessing it might have had something to do with sleep deprivation.

The good news: my hair is now growing back! The bad news: it's coming back in the form of these patches of inch-long hair all over my head. After I blow-dry, they stick straight up and if I don't blow-dry, they turn into these crazy short curls.

p.s. Sorry about the horrible photo.

know your pain. i swear i have a receding hairline. i was a mite bit concerned when i went to get my hair cut. i guess it's just a pregnancy thing. i have a sweet row of fuzz on my forehead.

My pregnancy has always done the same thing. And my hair looks the same as yours... just gobs and gobs of hair was coming out and then it stopped and now I have the fun little hairs all over my head sticking straight up... ugh! The things us mother's go through... we should be paid or something! haha

Oh, I know the pain. I lost so much hair that I really truly thought I was going to go bald. Not only that, but I lost it in a receding hair line kind of pattern. So above my temples was COMPLETELY bald. Seriously, when I pulled my hair back in a ponytail, my forehead was about eight inches long! You are beautiful...I'm glad the hair is coming back in!

My hair is doing the same thing and the funny thing is, just the other day, I was thinking that someone in high school got their hair stuck in a blow dryer and I couldn't remember who, but I knew my hair looked the same way. Thanks for clearing that up for me! Best wishes for normal hair again one day!

At first I thought you were going to tell us Ethan figured out how to use scissors while you were sleeping.
It all comes back eventually. Just think, you and Ryan have one more thing in common. JK!

You know the sad thing is my hair did the same thing but I never related it to pregnancy until just now. I don't remember the hair on the pillow or drain but the hair growing back I remember.

I had the same thing happen to me. My hair was falling out and then growing back for everyone to see. The things we do for our children.

Wow....so many have exprerienced the beautiful patches of hair! I had fun reading the comments and can also relate to your pain. Like Katy said, the things we do for our children. Well, I'm not exactly sure where we will be living in D.C. we haven't got that far yet. We are actually just moving out for the summer for Clayton to sell pest control as he has done for the last four summers. He still has another year of school at Utah state before we move for good. I'll let you know when I found out where we're moving to. I'm sure this is the longest comment you've ever received? love ya!

My hair hasn't made it to the post pregnancy falling out stage yet but I have the blasted fuzz everywhere! I remember it was the same with jack. I kept wondering why the crap I was sprouting fuzz everywhere! I guess it's just another one of those annoying pregnancy factors! Have I mentioned how much I hate bein pregnant? Just drop the baby off at the front door!!!!!!!!!

meg... that is hilarious! that picture cracks me up...but it's so true. I remember after I had Matthew the same thing happened to me. I actually don't remember the hair on the pillow... but I could pull it out by the handful! my hair that grew in underneath was curly. so now after I blow dry my hair I have to use a straightener- strange huh! but anyway... I'm glad your not going bald!!!
