Expect us to gain a lot of weight

Last night Ryan yelled, "I will eat no more chicken!" (I know, you thought he was so mild-mannered)

I admit, I am not much of a cook. I had no idea, however, that my chicken was that bad. And the problem is that I don't really know how to cook anything else.

Today at the grocery store I bought pre-prepared foods - crab cakes for tonight, frozen lasagna, frozen pizza, etc. - but you can only eat such foods no more than once each week.

I'm thinking the rest of the week's menu will have to include beef. Any ideas?

Meg, I have some super easy recipes that you might like. Things like lasagna(promise it's easy), and taco soup to name a few. Let me know if you want the recipes. And good luck!:)

Hamburger Helper. J/K Pork Ribs, just get some spare ribs, not on the bone, and put them in the crock pot with a whole bunch of your favorite bar b cue(I can't figure out how to spell it) sauce and cook it for 6 to 8 hours. I sometimes add brown sugar and cinnamon. You can also do a roast in your crock pot. Pork tenderloin is pretty good and way easy to prepare. Ask mom, she's the know all.

Good luck in the never-ending, "I'm going to try to cook tonight!" I'm sure your chicken wasn't that bad.

When I get back you guys will come over and we will grill up some steaks, or hamburgers or some other red meat for Ryan! :) I totally feel for Ryan and the chicken, I feel the exact same way!

Meg, I personally like a good rib-eye cooked to medium (still a little red in the middle). If you can´t buy rib-eye, then a good New York steak is another excellent choice. You can fry these so you don´t have to find a grill. Another good meal is steak and eggs in the morning. You can cook the eggs any way you like (it´s really the steak that counts anyway). Another great meal is steak sandwich which comes from little bits of cooked steak (rib-eye or New York, of course) and some bread and lots of butter. I will follow some time later with more good steak recipes. Dad

I don't think Dad understands how expensive steak is and that you can't have it every night. Ben

Do you like fish? That's our break from chicken.

We never eat chicken because pretty much i hate touching it! I know...lame...but you've got a lot of other options! I love to make pastas, soups, grilled pizzas, pork chops or pork loin, etc! And it's no brainer stuff if I can make it! I bet you can too!
