Seven years ago, I gaped at the television monitor in my high school classroom in Utah and watched this unfold.
I was roughly 1,920 miles away. I was in one of the safest places on the planet. I felt violated.
Today I live just a couple of blocks away. It's a constant reminder of the lives lost on this day.
